An update on what I'm working on and where I'm at with it

         Well I can certainly say that it has always been fun to world build, playing around with different ideas and trying to create some history, while also looking a back on our own world history. Here I am now, creating a timeline for 1000 years worth of imperial reigns, trying to keep everything in place now, the last thing I want to do is contradict myself in the story. I have terrains, religions, notable cities, and even other lore that I am establishing to help create this world. I even have an old sketch book, where I have drawn out a few maps, trying my best to remember where certain things are, trying to remember the layout that I am describing. On days pretty much like today where I don't find myself working on my book as much as I would like, world building at least, can help me fight through writer's block, or just those awkward days where I know I'm not going to be happy working on a chapter in the main story, so I might as well put my creativity to use.

        I know that there are various tools out there that can keep your thoughts organized, between my old fashioned pen and paper, One Note, Sticky Notes, I decided to look into other methods as well, though I must admit One Note feels better to me, having the dual monitor setup, being able to go and forth, the simple yet easy design work, I know there are some other options out there, and I have looked into those, but I do enjoy the simple layout I'm using.

        I am also working on a small piece at the moment as well that I hope to put out in public soon, just an idea, not only to help promote the book, but also to help get my writing out there. I will be writing a collection of short stories, and other smaller works that will tie in to the main series, a few freebies never hurts. So with that said, keep an eye out, as likely within the next few weeks I will have something out there for people to read.

        As always, you can follow the blog, and I'm in the process of setting up more social media pages, it all takes some time, but time isn't anything that I am working on shortly. I have already taken on the tasks of searching for artists for the cover designs of the book, and I can say that I am starting to come down to a few options. I have started my search in various editors as well, and then comes to purchasing the ISBN's for my books. I remember at first feeling so bad about having to spend this money, but then I thought about after my partner reminded me that I spend money on other hobbies and things that I enjoy, why not invest into myself to set out and push harder for my dreams? It make sense, now that I don't simply look at this like spending money, trying to somewhat get the business logic out of my head, (within reason of course), this is different. I must say as I started doing the research into all of these things, and believe me, I still am a bit, but at least thanks to the countless number of videos on the subject I can work on at least not trying to make the same mistakes that others have done before me as well. Time will tell where this all goes, but again, it all comes down to having my heart in this 100%, thankfully I have the support of so many while I am on this endeavor, and that truly makes a difference. Rome wasn't built in a day, and here I am, laying brick by brick trying to live out my dream.
