Build, Build, Build!

 I have started working on setting up a bit of a stronger presence of social media, I'm starting to see more trends here for the next generation of readers, and that also seems to be a growing trend in the community of writers, at least, in the way of self publishing. Different things work for everyone, but I figured if I can find a way to start growing a following, that I can find my target audience. It came to me then, a podcast. I know, I know, these days it seems like everyone has one, but I figure that I have another avenue of getting my short stories out there that will be working along my main book.

I would assume that if I can get enough traction, and there are enough people who like my stories, it might be a better way to find my audience, maybe engage with them, and try and use input to help improve my writing. So with that, I have started that process, and I have a few stories ready to go, it is a bit of a gamble, but at least this is mainly costing me more time than anything else. While I can say that I am about halfway done writing my book, when I get those days where I can't figure out how to get my main story going, but I still want to write, I might as well put that creative desire to use, and sometimes those short stories help me figure out how I want to write out a chapter.

I found myself using some AI voice-overs, and honestly, I had a lot of fun doing it because I wanted to immerse someone into the world. I can be a bit of an over-perfectionist sometimes, and the last thing I want is to spend hours on a side project instead of my larger project. In the end, I'll likely have to just find that sweet spot.
